(Nike!) And 776bc in which the Olympics (Olympiakoi Agones) in Ancient Greece was inaugurated in the town of Olympia, the most important sanctuary of the god Zeus to establish a sacred truce among the warlike cops. Athletics, pancracy, jumping, expedition racing, discus and javelin throwing were the main sports.
